## What is Golfle

Golfle is the golf version of Wordle. One mystery professional golfer is
chosen each day from the PGA Tour, DP World Tour, and LIV Golf League.
Players have 8 guesses to figure out who it is. Each guess returns a row of
colored cells comparing the guessed golfer's stats to the mystery golfer's:
green for exact match, yellow for close, red for far. Arrows indicate
"higher" or "lower" for numeric stats.

## Modes

- **Daily**: One puzzle per day, same for every player worldwide. Resets at
  midnight Eastern Time.
- **Current Pros (Unlimited)**: Unlimited rounds against the active pro
  pool — anyone playing on a major tour today.
- **All-Time Greats (Unlimited)**: Unlimited rounds drawn from the full
  historical pool, including legends like Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, and
  Tiger Woods.

## Source data

Golfer profiles are maintained from public OWGR rankings, ESPN, and tour
pages. Rankings refresh weekly. Player ages are recomputed from birth dates
when known.

## How to play

1. Type a golfer's name in the search bar.
2. Pick from the dropdown.
3. Read the colored row that appears: green = exact, yellow = close,
   red = far. Arrows on numeric stats hint higher / lower.
4. Repeat up to 8 times. Solve in fewer guesses for a better score.
