Acceptable Use Policy
In plain English
Be respectful, don't try to break the game, don't impersonate other people, and don't use bots or scrape the data. We'll warn you the first time and ban repeat offenders.1. What this policy covers
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) supplements the Terms of Service and applies to all use of Golfle. Violating this AUP is also a violation of the Terms of Service.
2. Display names and account identity
You may not use a display name that:
- Contains slurs, profanity, sexually explicit terms, or content promoting hatred or violence against any group;
- Impersonates another person, brand, or organization (including Antlr Creatives);
- Is designed to confuse other players (for example, by mimicking moderator or staff usernames);
- Infringes a third-party trademark or other right;
- Contains personally identifiable information about any third party (phone numbers, addresses, etc.).
We may rename or remove a display name at our discretion if it violates this policy. Repeat or egregious violations may result in account suspension or termination without refund.
3. Cheating and game integrity
You may not:
- Use bots, scripts, headless browsers, browser extensions, or any other automated means to play the game;
- Inspect network responses or page source to learn the answer before guessing;
- Create multiple accounts (whether under different emails, identities, or sign-in methods) to defeat the daily-puzzle limit, manipulate the leaderboard, or evade a ban;
- Coordinate with others to inflate or game the leaderboard;
- Use any technique that bypasses the daily reset, the rate limits, or any other published restriction.
We reserve the right to disqualify, void, or remove leaderboard entries we believe were obtained by violating this section, with or without notice.
4. Harassment and respectful conduct
You may not use the Service to harass, threaten, intimidate, or otherwise mistreat any other person, whether they are another player, a member of our team, or anyone else. This includes harassment via display name, via the friends-search feature, or by following accounts in a way intended to harass.
5. Security and infrastructure
You may not:
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or its infrastructure (other than under our published security policy, if and when we publish one);
- Breach or otherwise circumvent any security or authentication measures;
- Access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of the Service, our computer systems, or the technical delivery systems of our providers;
- Attempt to access another user’s account, data, or stored game state;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its underlying infrastructure (DDoS, traffic flooding, etc.).
6. Scraping, mass data extraction, and APIs
The Service does not offer a public API for third-party use. You may not copy, scrape, mirror, or otherwise extract substantial portions of our content or our underlying golfer database, whether by automated or manual means. You may not use the Service’s content to train AI/ML models without our express prior written consent.
7. Commercial use
The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell, sublicense, lease, rent, or commercially exploit the Service or its content without our prior written permission.
8. Compliance with law
You may not use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation, or to encourage or facilitate any such violation.
9. How we enforce this policy
If we believe you have violated this AUP, we may, in our discretion and depending on severity:
- Issue a warning;
- Rename or remove an offending display name;
- Void or remove leaderboard entries;
- Suspend your account temporarily;
- Terminate your account permanently;
- Block your IP address or device from accessing the Service;
- Report violations to law enforcement or other appropriate authorities.
We may take any of these actions with or without notice, depending on the seriousness of the violation. We will generally try to give you a chance to fix the problem first for minor or first-time violations.
10. Reporting violations
If you encounter a display name, message, or behavior that you believe violates this AUP, please email us at antlrcreatives@gmail.com with as much detail as possible (the offending display name, what you saw, when you saw it, and a screenshot if appropriate). We’ll respond within a reasonable time.
11. Changes to this AUP
We may update this AUP from time to time. The “Updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
