Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your Golfle account at any time. The fastest way is the in-app delete button (account menu). The slower way is to email us. Either way, your account and personal data are removed within 30 days.1. Self-service deletion (recommended)
If you’re signed in:
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner of the Golfle page;
- Click Delete my account;
- Confirm in the dialog that appears (you’ll be asked to type DELETE so it isn’t triggered by accident);
- Your account, your stats, your leaderboard entries, and your follow relationships are removed immediately. You’ll be signed out and returned to the home page.
2. Email-based deletion
If you can’t sign in (for example, you’ve lost access to the email account you used to sign up), you can email us at antlrcreatives@gmail.com with the subject line “Account Deletion Request” and include:
- The email address associated with the Golfle account you want to delete;
- Your display name on Golfle (if known);
- Confirmation that you are the owner of the account.
To prevent unauthorized deletion, we may need to verify your identity by asking you to send the request from the email address on the account or by requesting additional information. We will complete verified deletion requests within 30 days of receipt.
3. What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove all of the following:
- Your profile (email, display name, avatar URL);
- Your stats (total wins, games played, current streak, max streak, unlimited stats);
- Your leaderboard entries (every daily and unlimited round you completed while signed in);
- Your follow relationships (the accounts you follow and the accounts that follow you);
- Your authentication record in Supabase (so you can sign up again later with the same email if you want).
4. What we may retain (and why)
The following may be retained briefly after account deletion, in line with normal record-keeping and security practices:
- Server logs— standard request logs (IP address, request path, timestamp) are retained by our hosting provider for a short period for security and abuse prevention. These logs are not linked to your account record after deletion.
- Backups— database backups are kept for a short period and rolled over. Personal data in backups is overwritten as backups expire on their normal cycle (typically within 30 days).
- Aggregated and anonymized statistics— for example, the number of total guesses or wins across all users. These contain no personal data.
5. Timing
Self-service deletion happens immediately. Email-based deletion is processed within 30 days of receipt of a verified request, and is generally completed within a few business days.
6. Local browser data
Golflestores guest game state in your browser’s local storage. Deleting your account on the server does not automatically clear this local data — you can clear it from your browser’s site-data settings (“Clear site data” or “Cookies and other site data”) at any time.
7. Can I undo a deletion?
No. Deletion is permanent. If you sign up again later with the same email address, you’ll start with an empty account — no prior stats, no prior leaderboard entries.
