How to play
Golfle
Guess the mystery pro golfer in eight tries.
Every guess is a real golfer. After each one, the grid compares them to the mystery golfer across seven categories.
Reading the colours
- Green
- An exact match.
- Yellow
- Close. On the number columns that means within two — two years of age, two inches of height, two wins, or two ranking places. On Tour it means the golfers share one tour but not all of them. On College it means both went to college, but different ones.
- Grey
- Not a match.
Reading the arrows
An arrow means the mystery golfer’s value is higher or lower than your guess. On the ranking columns the arrow points toward the betterranking — so an up arrow next to world rank 40 means the answer is ranked higher than 40th, which is a smaller number.
A few specifics
- If both golfers turned professional without playing college golf, College shows “None” for both and counts as a match.
- Unranked golfers show N/A. Two unranked golfers match each other.
- All-Time Greats swaps the current world ranking column for career-best ranking.
- Where a fact has not been verified, the grid shows N/A rather than guessing. Those golfers can still be guessed, but they are never the answer.
Daily and Unlimited
The Daily golfer is the same for everyone and changes at midnight Eastern. No golfer repeats until the whole pool has been used. Unlimited lets you keep playing, either Current Pros or All-Time Greats, without affecting your daily streak.
