Nine clubs are already packed
Every bag starts with the same nine: a driver, the 5 through 9 irons, a pitching wedge, a 56° wedge and a putter. They do not change from day to day, so the decision is always the same shape.
Choose five more from a rack of ten
Ten specialty clubs are offered. You take exactly five, which fills the bag to the fourteen the rules of golf allow. You can add and remove as often as you like before locking.
The setup decides what is worth carrying
A real golfer, a real course and the day’s conditions each change which roles matter. A long exposed course in wind asks for something different from a short course with small greens on a calm morning.
Coverage beats collecting good clubs
The nine core clubs already cover a lot. A specialty club earns its place where the core is weak — so picking the five that look strongest on their own is usually not the best bag.

There are 252 legal ways to choose five from ten. All of them are scored, and Bag Fit is where yours ranks among them.
What Bag Fit means
It is a percentile, exactly. A Bag Fit of 94 means your fourteen ranked around the 94th percentile of every legal setup for that golfer, course, rack and weather under the current Golfle model. Every legal combination really is scored — nothing is estimated or sampled.
It is not a prediction. It does not mean 94% accurate, a 94% chance of anything, or a number of strokes. Golfle does not simulate shots and makes no claim about what would happen if this bag were played.
The letter grade is just the number. Grades map from the percentile and from nothing else.
Best call and missed edge are real comparisons. Both come from actually swapping one club for another and re-reading the score. When no swap makes a meaningful difference, the game says so rather than inventing a decisive story.
Where the content comes from
The golfers are real; the ratings are our opinion. The five numbers on a golfer are Golfle’s own assessment of how they play — the same ratings Back Nine uses, not official statistics, and not endorsed by any tour, player or data provider. How we rate.
The courses are real; the demand profiles are our opinion. Course names and locations are factual. What a course “asks for” is Golfle’s reading of it, versioned and labelled as such. We do not publish hole data, and the artwork is an original abstract panel that does not depict any course’s layout.
The clubs are generic categories. A “19° Utility” here is the idea of a low-launching long club, not any manufacturer’s product. Club characteristics are a simplified game model — not specifications, measurements, or fitting advice.
Conditions are a scenario, not a forecast. Weather is sampled from plausible ranges for each course and then frozen. It is never live, and the game does not claim it is.
Outcomes are fixed in advance. Every legal bag is scored before the puzzle is published, on the server. Refreshing or replaying cannot change a result, and the scoring table never reaches the browser.
Daily and Fresh Bag
The Dailyis one shared setup per day — the same golfer, course, rack and conditions for everyone — and your first lock is the one that counts. Fresh Bag generates a new setup whenever you want one, with the same rules, and does not affect your Daily record.
